F.N. Souza, was an Indian artist of modern Indian painting, and a founding member of the Bombay Progressive Artists’ Group. His style exhibits both “decadence and primitivism.” Janeita Singh will join us in Monterey to discuss her personal quest with the work of Souza focusing on “cultural constructs of life, body and sexuality…combining research in art history, Eastern–Western philosophy, classical literature, Jungian analysis, psychology, anthropology, religion and theater.”
